Job Summary
Position responsible for ensuring clinical excellence in either an
assigned work group or for an assigned patient population.
Responsible for appropriate oversight/supervision of assigned
personnel and performing direct patient care in a cost-effective
manner. Assesses patients, develops and initiates treatment plan
based on the results of the evaluation. The evaluation may include
measurements of neuromuscular and skeletal functions. Provides
direct patient care. Documents findings, progress and instruction
to patients and caregivers. Serves as a resource and mentor for the
staff, students and volunteers while assisting in setting up
educational programs, providing input for program development, and
serving as a resource for community education and marketing.Job
Description
Experienced ortho PT needed to cover the SMR central region clinics
(Greater Heights, Heights CCC, East Houston, Bellaire and
Greenway)
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an
accredited university-based Physical Therapy program.
Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Physical
Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the
Physical Therapy Compact Commission. Current Certification in Basic
Life Support.
A physical therapist practicing direct access:
Education: Doctoral degree along with a residency or fellowship
program, OR
Licensed therapist with 30 hours of continuing competence
activities in differential diagnosis.
Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Physical
Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the
Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
