Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Civil Superintendent to oversee and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of civil and underground utilities construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage scope, schedule, finances, risks, quality, and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Management

Supervise and coordinate all on-site civil and underground utility construction activities.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and safety regulations.
Oversee excavation, grading, stormwater, sewer, water, and other underground utility installations.
Monitor project progress and make real-time adjustments to stay on schedule and within budget.
Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Team Leadership & Resource Management

Lead and direct site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure work is completed according to quality standards.
Conduct daily site meetings and safety briefings to ensure team alignment.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues.

Financial & Risk Management

Track project costs, material usage, and labor hours to ensure budget adherence.
Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact schedule, safety, or budget.
Review and approve subcontractor invoices, change orders, and material purchases.

Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance

Ensure all work meets industry standards, engineering specifications, and client expectations.
Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
Investigate and address safety concerns, incidents, or violations promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 5+ years in civil construction, with a focus on underground utilities. Construction Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent field experience.

Work Conditions

Full-time, on-site role at project locations.
May require extended hours, weekends, or night shifts based on project demands.
